The Feel

  • Babson College is located in a residential area of Wellesley, 30 minutes outside of Boston. The 350-acre campus is quite elegant.

  • All students at Babson earn a B.S. in Business Administration with multiple concentrations to choose from.

  • Freshmen are required to live on campus, and 85% of students live on campus all four years.

  • American students study alongside a broad swath of international students, who comprise 30% of the student body, the majority of whom are from China, India and Brazil. A giant globe on campus stands surrounded by 100 flags representing all the countries students are from.

  • Babson supports first-generation students: 20% of students are the first in their family to go to college!

  • Greek life and Greek housing are popular: 20-25% of students are in fraternities or sororities.

Standout Points

  • Babson is known for their yearlong Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship course. First year students essentially start a real, functioning business from pitching it and earning investors, all the way to establishing the various roles (CEO, CFO, etc) and running it. Students have the choice at the end of the course to acquire the business from Babson if they want to keep it going.

  • Take advantage of the incredible Three College Collaboration between Babson, Olin and Wellesley colleges (BOW)! Students at Babson can take one course per semester at either of the other two colleges starting sophomore year, up to 6 courses! They can also take advantage of dining options, the gym, an other co-curriculars.

  • All students take calculus, statistics and Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship.

  • Studying abroad is highly encouraged and 60% of students do so; there are more than 100 programs to choose from and financial aid transfers to study abroad.

  • Career advisors have industry experience, allowing them to help students craft resumes for their field.

Fun Fact

  • Students at Babson are obsessed with the campus tradition of Bingo! Many of them play it weekly and have the opportunity to win big prizes each time.

Bottom Line Fit: For the prospective business person who is seeking the most real-world experience possible in their education, while desiring the opportunity to specialize in other areas of interest along the way.
